Rear differential

I want to replace the 10 bolt with a 12 bolt posi.  
What is the most cost efficient ways to do this?  
Buy all new or buy an old 12 bolt and have it
rebuilt?  Will a 12 bolt from an old chevelle fit?

Buy a used rear axle assembly. You should be able to find a good one for a hundred bucks or so.
