Question type: General

I have a 63 Impala that came with no engine. I
know it's a V8 but can't figure out with V8. How do I
figure aout Wich engine was original to the car?

I stand corrected. The VIN will tell if it is a 6 cylinder or V8, but not which one.

Older car VIN numbers are less specific regarding exact engine size. The newer cars sure make engine identification very easy.
