Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Water leaking under pass.side mat and rear mat same side when car is not even driven
but sitting in driveway during rainstorms.  Water is going in thru the air intake on hood.  
What should I do to remedy...car is at mechanics now and he doesn't know what to do!

mechanic just called....found hole in air intake area...will weld sheet metal patch to repair...
