Wobbly tire

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Whenever I go above 65 miles an hour, my front
passenger wheel feels like it's starting to wobble. I
got this car a few years ago, and after driving it for
3 months my driver side lower control arm
snapped so I had to get it replaced. When getting
an alignment he said that my tie rods were both
loose and so he couldn't do it. I replaced them
both. Is that what's going on right now? Or is it
something else

Oh and to add to this, anytime I go over train tracks or a bump, that tire hits really hard and it feels like metal on metal. I was planning on getting that fixed, don't know if it was related

Might be a bad strut. A bad tire can also cause a wobble/vibration that can occur at a specific speed. If you replaced both tie rod ends and haven't gotten an alignment then you might also have a misalignment causing a wobble once you hit a certain speed. You have a few things to check out, and might be spending some big money. Tires, struts, possible bushings, alignment, will probably end up costing more than an old Taurus is worth.
