lower control arm and lower ball joint

Do the lower control arm have to be replaced in order to change lower ball joint....the ball joint doesnt look as if it can come out

There should be a clip holding it in, or is it riveted? If its riveted, you grind/drill the rivets put take it out and bolt the new one in. If theres a c-clip its pressed.
