sometimes when I start it. It stalls as soon as I take my foot off the gas. Even when I am driving and stop at a light as soon as I take my foot off it the rpms drop till it stall
a new fuel filter would be a cheap place to start. if it still happens have the fuel pressure tested. if it is below specs for your ford then you probably need a new pump.
I'd check the idle air control valve, it's cheap to replace. What it does is provide air to the throttle body when you are not stepping on the gas pedal - as the name implies, "idle air control." You can scan for codes to see if there's a problem: codes P505 to P509 for GM, Ford, and Chrysler are idle control problems.
