Battery reading zero volts at terminals

It may be a gel battery like other newer batteries I don't have the same test results with them , I thought mine was beat and NAPA put it on a charge and it was good to go .

If the battery is original to the vehicle it's time for a new one. As a comparison I've let my 08 Grand Marquis sit for over two weeks and didn't have a problem. On newer vehicles there's always something pulling power from the battery! Even after the vehicle goes "to sleep" memory functions are still kept, for example. Plus there's more than one computer in the vehicle. A new Cadillac, for example, has over 40! So if the battery is older or you live in a colder climate it's best to keep a battery maintainer on it or start it up and let it run periodically. Hope that helps! Jim

Most chargers will not charge a stone cold dead battery. There is a trick if you have a good battery and a set of jumper cables. Hook up the charger to the good battery and use the cables to hook the good battery to the dead battery. Postive to Positive and Negative to Negative. If the old battery is salvageable this trick can bring it back.
