Sounds like linkage on the transmission is stuck, will shifter move at all ?

Yes the shifter does move...the truck still runs.. It did this once before and I shut it off and turned it back on and tried and it worked. But this time my ignition was stuck and wouldn't allow !e to turn truck off.

But wud that cuz it not to do anything when I am trying to put it in gear? Or is it a linkage and ignition you think?

You say it's a 91 but have it listed as a 98. Which is it? Different answer for each
