88 Chevy Suburban v10 headlights

Asked by Jan 06, 2017 at 08:55 PM about the 1988 Chevrolet Suburban V10 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My 88 Chevy Suburban has dual
headlights, one above the other. When
innlow beam the top headlights are on. In
high beam, all 4 headlights are on. That's
how it normally works. Now, all 4 lights
come on when the headlights are on
whether they are in high or low beam.
When you turn on the brights, the do get
brighter and all 4 still stay on.

Maybe there is a problem with the head light switch.

Also, check the dimmer switch and the headlight wiring for a bad ground. HTH. - Jim
