Bought a ‘15 Cad ATS Coupe, 49k miles for 19k. Good deal? Couple questions..

Asked by mikeshep Apr 14, 2019 at 06:27 AM about the 2015 Cadillac ATS Coupe 2.0T Luxury RWD

Question type: General

Was 1-owner lease from Toronto area. Just spent 780 w/ GM Assistance and
had a local Cad dealer replace CUE System, do trans flush, decarb engine.
Body/Interior super clean.  Did I overpay?  What can I expect to get out of it,
mileage-wise?   I know higher cost of ownership...but its a Cadillac...and
really love this model/style.  Its the Lux pkg, 2.0t RWD btw

Does need new rear tires...Hate run-flats but fronts are still pretty
new...figuring buy rear RFs for now, get equal tread wear on all four, then
replace with set of non-run-flats when time comes for a new Set.  So, so far
I’m into it for abt. 20k. Plus GM giving me a $750 certificate for Accessories in
lieu of not covering full cost to replace their known-defective CUE system.

Just hoping to get opinions on if this was a relatively good deal overall?

Thanks!

I think you paid full retail for your car. You will be glad you got rid of the run flats. Keep up on the maintenance and repairs and it should last you for many miles. Don't skimp on oil and transmission fluid changes!

Full retail. Based on...? Are you saying full retail, "all-in"? 19k was 'out the door' i.e. $17.7k before tax/fees, and every '15 ATS Lux Coupe on the market was consistently significantly higher than sedans. Harder to find. Can you break down what you're basing that judgement on? Thanks

Ahh, here's the thread! So F_O_R, I just finally found this thread and asked you a follow up but you haven't replied, which makes me question what your qualifications and basis are for the judgement that I paid "full retail" on this deal. Maybe you've just been offline for awhile..that's cool I certainly can allow for that but otherwise, as i separately asked - do you actually know about the price variables for this model? The original MSRP cost variations - "generally" vs "specifically" when it comes to Cadillacs can be huge. I'm just asking what went into your decision to declare that I paid, "full retail" as you put it. Feel free to elaborate. Thanks, Mike
