I have a 2014 Kia Rio LX. It starts perfect when cold. I parked it for about 15 min's. came out & if wouldn't turn over. Turned the key and nothing. I did it 5-6 times & it started. I checked the battery & it is showing 13.1v. Terminals are clean & tight. I did remove them & clean the post, even though there was No sign of corrosion. My question is, is there a relay somewhere that could be beginning to fail ?

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

As I said above... I parked it for about 15 min's. Came out & it wouldn't turn
over, Just clicked. After about 6-8 try's, it started.   I went home & checked
the battery. Posts were clean & clamps were tight. I removed the cables &
cleaned posts just to make sure. I checked the battery, it is showing 13.1
volts on my meter. It starts perfect when cold even after sitting for days. My
question is, Is there a Relay that could be beginning to fail.

I'm not a mechanic but nobody's answered you so I'm going to tell you that my last car had that exact same problem started perfectly fine in the am but after driving it to class I had to love on her and pray for her to start Yes I really did that After a few time she'd start right up. Found out it was my starter failing after I got it replaced never had that problem again. hope you got an answer from someone outside of this forum being it's been 2 weeks good luck
