I have the same issue. 2012 rx350. Trac off and engine light came on. Would up eventually the transmission failed without warning got stuck in park and had to replace the transmission twice. Now on my 3rd one with 126k miles the engine light is back on and the trac off sign is engaged. Wtf

I’m having same problem with 2015 RX 350. Engine light on, Trac off sign on. Autozone diagnosed Coil # 3 misfire. Lexus dealership wants to charge$750. They have had my car for 5 days. They said they swapped new coil and fuel injector but still not fixed so they are going to have to tear down the whole engine!!! It only has 82,000 miles on it. I am ready to cry! What can I do??

Loose gas cap or bad oxygen sensor. There are 2. Scanner should say which sensor is bad.

Thanks Bill. I found that the gas cap is loose and tightened it. The message disappeared

I just had the same thing happen with my 2015 Lexus RX350 on a road trip. The oil was just changed & the check engine & TRAC OFF message came up. Took it to autozone & it returned a P0025 code with this message: Exhaust Camshaft Position Timing- Over- Retarded (Bank 2)

I talked to the mechanic we’ve used for years & he said that if it’s giving code P0025 with the error message above it’s one of two things. The sensor is in the distributor cap & old, dirty oil or the wrong oil weight can cause the error ( just had my oil changed before light came on) or the sensor is going bad, or it’s an error that may not repeat. Mine turned off on its own; I’ve driven about 400 miles & it hasn’t reappeared & is driving normally.

The gas cap tightening was spot on. Thanks for the repeat replies as I was skeptical at it being that simple. As a matter of fact I probably wouldn’t have even tried it if not for the number of positive comments that got. Yes I know that is stupid so don’t bother commenting. Is it natural for the front wheel drive to pull one way then the other under HEAVY ACCELERATION from a slow or stopped position?

This happened to my Lexus RX350 2015 and I checked fuse and press down on it and it fixed problem. It could just be blown fuse or fuse that lose.

I have a 2012 Rx350 ck engine light Track Off AWD. Removed gas cap re-capped till clicked - warning light was gone upon starting car again. It's very hot today so maybe affected sensir and battery was dead so I used a boost charger - that's when light showed up.

This is AMAZING ! I also literally unscrewed the gas cap and replaced it tightly and no less than 20 minutes driving the warning lights went OFF...no issues. I had called the dealership when it occurred and they told me to bring the car into the dealership ASAP. Thanks to everyone who posted the fix here !
