Any new info on parasitic battery drain?

I have a 2014 STX 4x4 with 5.0 V8, 2300 miles.  Battery has drained twice with no
indication of anything left on, no aftermarket devices.  Am I stuck with carrying around a
jump box?  Dealer has checked battery and charging system.

Happened to me several times. Found out the resistor was the issue everytime. A small wire big as a paperclip. If the wrong one is on there or burned out, it will do the draw. I know sometimes the car starts sometimes it wont. You charge it and it stays with power for a day or two? Go to alarm or music shop and have them put a new one on. Its behind the radio. $75 should fix it. Youre welcome.

It could be a bad park detect switch in the shifter assembly that causes the truck to not go into sleep mode. If you turn off the ignition the gear indicator lights wont go out draining the battery. The quick way to know it is this switch is there is no red P on the dash when in park, the remote starter wont work (if equipped) either. Its a quick repair, a kit for the console model is on ebay, shipped USPS priority mail for 26.00. https://www.ebay.com/itm/292902064134
