2014 Lincoln MKZ slow draw on battery

Asked by 14MKZ10FLSTFB May 28, 2018 at 05:05 PM about the 2014 Lincoln MKZ AWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I’ve had no prior battery issues until I recently had my
windshield replaced (without rain sensor). The car was
dead when I went to start it. Used a jump box quite a few
times the next couple days following. Sometimes the car
will start after sitting many hours, sometimes it will be
dead after 45 minutes. Cranking voltage drops down to 8
Volts when starting. The battery checks out fine, via the
auto stores. Is there a harness of any sort that could have
been pinched and shorting?
