Is the new 9-speed automatic transmission on the Jeep Cherokee reliable?

Looking at buying a 2014 Jeep Cherokee V-6. The vehicle is everything I'm
looking for but I've heard doubts regarding the transmission.

For 2016 model year, there's supposed to be some improvements to the transmission to make it more reliable.
