Fuel filter location

i was just informed by the dealer that the sonic is not equipped with a traditional fuel filter.

Checked above the gas tank gor a fuel filter. I purchased a fuel filter but can't find it on my chevy sonic lt. Where is THE FUEL FILTER LOCATED AT???

This is really a question? Where is the fuel pump located on a 2014 chevy sonic?

I also have a 2016 they sold me the filter but I can't find it I follow all the pipes from the tank to the injectors????

I have a 2014 and purchased a filter just to find out its in my gas tank. Was told I'd have to replace the fuel pump.
