Would a 2014 Lancer ES be expensive to own?

Asked by Sep 24, 2015 at 09:08 AM about the 2014 Mitsubishi Lancer ES

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Interested in getting a used Lancer ES. I can get a used 2014 reasonably
priced with 30k miles on the basic warranty left. It has all the features I
want from a compact (cruise, steering wheel audio, bluetooth phone, and a
reasonable size backseat). My concern is the cost for maintenance and
repair (after warranty is gone), also, reliability. I know insurance is more
expensive, but it's like $20 more a month than a comparable corolla from
progressive. Nothing too crazy, considering a comparable corolla would
cost 2k more out of the gate and that's with no basic warranty. I can't find a
ton on the Lancer ES from google, reliability doesn't sound particularly
good or bad from what I've read. Appreciate any insight.

Low in complaints, reviews are pretty good for this car. It handles well. As with any car you need to take care of it such as oil changes and tunes up. If it were me I say It's go...Good Luck...
