running a wrx without intercooler to not attract police

Question type: Car Customization

i have a 2008 wrx hatch and i am on a probationary licence which makes
that car technically illegal for me to drive, i was thinking that i could perhaps
remove the intercooler and replace the hood with a non scoop variant so
that my car looks less suspicious to victoria police, until i am on full licence
(4 years away) does anyone have any thoughts on this matter? and is
there any major downside to not running an intercooler apart from the
obvious power/efficiency losses?

Without the intercooler you might blow up the engine. Got caught street racing?

i dont race or drive stupid but im more of a sound guy ive got a 7k sound system custom boot etc... but i just want to take precautions to lower the chance of attracting attention and getting pulled over cause then id probs get screwed and lose licence for driving a car with forced induction

the scoop screams "this car is turbo" and i can either replace it with a stealthy frontmount that isnt too visible or just remove intercooler and lower boost to keep engine temps down, just wanted to get some thoughts and see what people think.
