2014 Ford Escape

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

2014 Escape: Dead battery issue, local Ford dealer could not diagnose and
just changed out the battery. I would like to disconnect the rear wiper motor
(seems to be a common cause) and see if that fixes the issue while I order a
new one. Is it fairly easy to disconnect the rear wiper motor? Any details on
how to do that?
Thanks

I thought that I read that by doing that the front washer will be deactivated as well but could be wrong

Confused. Original question was about wipers. Wiper motors are separate from washer pump. As far as washer pump yes I believe you are correct.

I disconnected the wiper motor and hoping the new one has been updated so that it solves the issue
