2014 cruze won't go into gear with clutch pressed

It won't go into any gear with the engine running and the clutch pressed to the
floor. If I turn the engine off and put it into gear, when I start the car the pressure
plate is engaged and the car will start to move. This happened suddenly.

Something wrong with the clutch control. Like the clutch fork, throw out bearing, hydraulic system or clutch cable if equipped.

Ten years using that clutch, it can wear out. Could be a defect as Gene said, but could also be that the unit is just out of adjustment. Just have a mechanic fix it and get on with your life.
