1986 El Camino differential gear ratio

Depends on the engine and transmission.

With the v6 my elcamino had the 241:1 ratio. And a 3 speed automatic .

I actually put a stroker 383 in my1984 elcamino and a 4L60 overdrive .Then , I installed a 12 bolt posi traction differential out of a 1970 SS Chevelle ,had to slightly modify and put anti-hop kit also.Turns about 2500 rpm at 70mph with lock out converter ingauged .

That gear ratio is a 373.
