Question type: Maintenance & Repair

1988 Ford f250 with a 302. Every time I plug in the battery
the starter will start cranking I have replaced the starter
solenoid and the starter twice the battery terminal sizzles
when I plug it in I have also replaced the ignition switch
and the barrel lock assembly. Since doing so the lights in
the cab don't turn on and the key will not turn on any
accessories

Try disconnecting small wire going to the starter solenoid, if it stops cranking when u disconnect small wire, check ignition switch or shorted ignition switch wire going to solenoid
