Subaru Springs and new transmission warranty. Funny how the dealers stay
quite on this problem. Subaru of america will replace if you complain but if
only 1 breaks they usually only fix the single spring for free. I have heard if
both springs fail, they are replaced with newer version but if only 1 breaks,
they replace with original spring. I am thinking about selling mine before the
extended warranty experies for the transmission.

I would sell it before the warranty runs out. 8 grand for a new transmission!

My "new" 2006 first bought in Nov. '05 by an older lady now has 51,000 miles. By Subaru''s own schedule it was due for new timing belt after 105 months in the Fall of 2014.
