Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My check engine light came on along with a flashing cruise control indicator light in my
2014 forester. I have 30000 miles on it and have never had any issues before. I've tried to
read up on it but seem to get a lot of mixed answers. My car doesn't feel any different
and doesn't seem to be leaking anything (no puddle in garage). Any ideas??

What kind of mixed info do you see? It should refer you to the fact that the computer is getting readings in the fuel flow / exhaust system that may damage your catalytic converter and hurt emissions. Has your mileage dropped off at all? It could be running slightly rich. I would check out www.subaruforester.org and ask around. Great forum. Nasioc is good, too. Best regards,

When that happens for me I was told to remove the gas cap and tighten it until it clicks 5 times and that has worked. Strange but works.
