Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2003 Ford Focus ZX5 SE. After it is driven for about 30 minutes and turned off the
engine will not start again. It will crank and start if I manually give it gas but stalls after I
release the gas pedal. If the car sits for about 30 minutes it will fire up without any
problems. Any ideas?

Thanks for your help. I will see if I can find the fuel filter. Hopefully that will take care of it.

John, I have the same issue with my 03 ford focus. Did the fuel filter solve the issue? Thanks for the post!

Amanda, because there was so much discussion pertaining to this issue related to the fuel system I tried the cheapest and less time consuming option first. I purchased some fuel system cleaner and filled the car up with high octane gas. I haven't had the possible again.
