Why is the engine hot/ac off coming on?

My 2013 Impala’s engine hot/ac off comes on even after changing sensor

when the engine coolant becomes hotter than the normal operating temperature this message displays. So Check: cooling system cap not maintaining proper pressure. Electric cooling fans/cooling fans sensor defective/malfunctioning. stuck closed thermostat. blocked/restricted expansion cooling system tank. defective water pump. Thanks

The wiring going to the sensor may be bad. Hope that helps! Jim
