buying an 2013 altima model S

the car has 59 k on it and im paying 14300.Anyone think thats a good deal.and how many
miles can I expect out of it.I have heard some bad things about the cvt in the 13 and
14.but most stuff i have read says that if the cvt is going to bad it will happen in the first
1000-20000k.anyone else know anything about this?thanks in advance.

The price seems to be retail price for that car. See if you can get it closer to $13K. If you heard bad things about the CVT, then heed them. While Nissan has embraced the idea of the CVT as well as other manufacturer's, like Subaru, I don't particularly like the idea of them. Once they fail, a shop does not just rebuild them, they replace them due to the complexity. Some consumers love them, others don't. You have to decide if you want to roll the dice. Heck, go manual trans.

I have a cheat sheet from Consumers Report. Don't know how reliable it is, but it doesn't even have it on the Reliable Used Car list. Anyway, maybe Toms answer might be good?
