Finding a water leak 2013 Altima

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Hey guys I have a problem with my 2013 Altima , the passenger rear carpet gets soaked
every time it rains. I've inspected the drainage points on the sunroof but all seems clear.
When I looked under the car there is water dripping from the channel directly under the
passenger carpet area. Is there maybe a drainage point that could be blocked up . I've
also taken the rear seat out to see where the water is coming from and to dry the carpet.

Check the drain holes in the bottom of the rear doors. They may be blocked with dirt and debris. HTH. -Jim

Check the trunk ... it may be getting in through the rubber weather seal

The water usually comes in from a seam at the firewall that wasn't sealed properly at the factory. You don't see it on the front carpet because it goes under the styrofoam that is on the floor board.

Im now getting water in on the passenger side floor also. This is way too common for Nissan not to cover. I called the local Nissan and they guy told me it would be 1200 just to check for leak.

I have had my vehicle 3 years out of warranty and Thursday night my floorboard was filled with water.
