2013 Escape air doesn't blow constant cold

Blows cold under 78 degrees ambient temp. Above that it starts out blowing cold then, apparently the compressor stops. Fan works fine. Tried recharging freon but it took very little and it didn't improve. Could there be a bad thermostat or some other part?

Your Escape is still covered under new car warranty. Take it to your local Ford Dealer and let them fix it for free! HTH. -Jim

This happened to me but recharging Freon helped. 2009 Ford Escape Hybrid. However, I still have a Freon leak they can't find..

  • I have a 2013 edge limited and when i turn on the heater it will only blow hot air on the passenger side and will blow cold air on the drivers side

    The ac is fine. it will blow out cold air on both sides. But when I turn on the heater it will only blow out hot air on the passenger side. The dirver side when still blow cold air.
