2013 Escape air doesn't blow constant cold

Asked by Jul 03, 2014 at 07:58 PM about the 2013 Ford Escape SEL 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Blows cold under 78 degrees ambient temp. Above that it starts out blowing cold then, apparently the compressor stops. Fan works fine. Tried recharging freon but it took very little and it didn't improve. Could there be a bad thermostat or some other part?

Your Escape is still covered under new car warranty. Take it to your local Ford Dealer and let them fix it for free! HTH. -Jim

This happened to me but recharging Freon helped. 2009 Ford Escape Hybrid. However, I still have a Freon leak they can't find..
