2002 Dodge Strauss bogs down, almost dying

Asked by Feb 25, 2017 at 02:29 AM about the 2002 Dodge Stratus R/T Coupe

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My car is very hard to get cranked up.  When
I put it in drive and give it gas to go,  it bogs
down so much it almost dies.  You have to
very easily, ease on the gas and (I tried this
and it worked)  shift the gears out manually.
And it's a automatic.  What could this be?

Transmission shift solenoid located on side of transmission easy to get to.

Thanks. Is this expensive or no?
