Can I put a protection screen over the navigation screen to stop the smudges and fingerprints

Navigation and info screen seems to smudge easily. Can a filn like used on Ipods be used to prevent this without any consequencs

you can put one on there but it may not be as sensitive when you touch it. Thats if you can even find one to fit it. what i did was buy a stylus pen and use it on the sceen.

There are a lot of universal screen protectors on eBay. Get one, cut it to fit and give it a try.
