Question type: General

Do I have to use a flatbed truck if
my front axle is broken

You have a front wheel drive vehicle and the tow truck will likely hook it from the front (so those wheels are off the ground), so you don't need a flat bed. The axle (CV joint) won't affect the wheel's suspension, so it can be pushed/pulled around for the tow, I would of course still let the tow operator know so they can check for any obstruction before hooking the vehicle.
