2012 Toyota Corolla, my service center is saying my car needs some kind of plastic discs for the alignment which jacks up the price of the alignment to over $400.00 because they said the have to cut these discs?
my service center is saying my car needs some kind of plastic discs for the alignment which jacks up the price of the alignment to over $400.00 because they said the have to cut out these discs? I'm not sure if that means they are fabricating the parts or what?
go to an independant front end alighnment guy (whose "on the bit with good reputation ) and get a second opinion
Ditto to the above. That sounds a bit............ odd.
Alignment should be no more than $100.
too much $ for alignment get 2nd/3rd opininion as the caster/camber are basic things to repair and plastic washers ??
I know what they are talking about and don't do it. It's a fix like putting sawdust in a differential, will work for a week then fall apart--- they can't get it aligned because something is way off and they are shims. May as well use duct tape. You may have a bent tie-rod because those discs are used for toe-- not caster--- not camber
