Change the wheels and tires back!

You need to find out where they are rubbing, if it is the outside then you can get away with rolling the fenders up and out or cut them out. If inside, then you have some choices, heavy duty springs or air shocks than you can add air to when loaded and let it out when running normal loads, completely tub the rear of the vehicle, making new fender wells for the rear wheels. Personally I would go with air shocks as it would be the cheapest and easiest way to go, and it also might help if the tires are rubbing on the outside of the fenders too. Just remember to let the air back out to recommended when unloaded or you could start cutting off the front tires due to an alignment issue.

Air shocks are not recommended for lifting cars to clear big tires. They can fail and cause tire/body damage. I would go back to stock or maybe 17" wheels and tires with tires 10-20mm wider than stock but about the same diameter.

Air shocks were all we ever used back in the day to raise the rear ends up to clear larger tires on our muscle cars.

I did the same and suffered the consequences. One day my 67 Firebird convertible had all the air shift to one side which cut up the tire and messed up the wheel arch trim. What can I say - young and stupid.

Man I never had any problems with my system, I used Gabrieal HyJackers, I think everyone on our track was using them.
