2012 Subaru Impreza 2.0i Transmission Pressure Switch Code

Asked by mspedigo98 Feb 03, 2019 at 04:36 AM about the 2012 Subaru Impreza 2.0i

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Long story short, I changed out the CVT transmission. "New" transmission
has 60k miles on it. Drove off from the mechanic`s shop and all my dash
lights come on. I take it back the mechanic and the codes say its a pressure
switch(P0841 i believe). Any time I drive the car it smells like something is
burning. Mechanic said its just oil and grease burning off from where he put
the tranny in. Does anyone know how I can fix it or do I have to take it to the
dealership? I don`t want to pay a butt load of money. The car has almost
145,000 miles on it.

The lights are telling you there are trouble codes to be read. Oil and grease will burn off in a couple of miles. If the smell continues there is probably a leak that is dripping onto the exhaust.
