Call around and get an estimate from some local repair shops. My guess is $300.00, but it may be more or less.

Well, I was in error. The Suzuki has a timing chain and not a belt. Has the timing chain been causing problems? Has it broken?

If you got a quote of $3,300 just for the chain then you really need to shop around.

I have a 2007 Suzuki XL7 awd. The u-joint/yolk is shot and there is no where on this planet that sells the driveshaft for this vehicle. Can I convert this into a 2wd? The mechanic said if some diverter mechanism is located in the rear that it can be. But I don't know what I'm looking for to know where it's located.
