Most wiper motors are protected by a circuit breaker inside the motor. Not by a fuse in the fuse box. If the circuit breaker trips for some reason it will reset in a few minutes and the wipers will start working again. The most common reason for the circuit breaker to trip is heavy ice and snow buildup on the windshield. But if the wipers have stopped working altogether turn in the wipers and confirm that the motor is not running. If it is running the problem is with the wiper transmission. The wiper transmission is the linkage that connects the wiper motor to the wiper arms to make them go back and forth across the windshield. If the wiper motor is not running, check for power at the wiper motor with the wiper switch turned on. If you have power the motor is bad. If you don't have power check for power at the wiper switch. If you have power there, switch is bad. Hope that helps! Jim

Ok, FYI, the spray mechanism still operates, does that make a difference on where the problem might be?

Not really. There's a pump, separate from the wiper motor, in the washer fluid tank, that makes the spray happen. I would bet by that though the wiper switch is good. Hope that helps! Jim
