Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Just replaced my cat with the walker verison part
number 55585 from autozone.. Reset my codes by
unplugging my battery and it seemed fine for a day.
Now the engine light just popped up again.. What
can i do to take this code off?

We need to know the code to advise you. Erasing the code is like throwing away that IRS letter you got in the mail ;)

Ok i will find out the code in the morning. I believe its the same cat efficiency code because i had no other codes other then that.. Thats why i changed the whole short pipe

Keep in mind that codes can have multiple causes. A bad O2 sensor could also be the cause.

Sigh.... This is a well-known problem in that NO after-market cats will resolve the frequent PO420 CEL! Whether it's Walker or anyone else, we know that ONLY the pricey OE cat from Subaru will keep the bloody light off. Wholesale I think is around $900-$1k plus an hour labor. Sorry, but you'll have to start over again....Ern TSG/B
