Could be an ECM or wiring get problem, if I remember right the charging system was computer controlled. This system should be checked by a professional, but most good independent shops will have the equipment to check it, so you won't have to got to a dealer for a diagnosis. HTH

I would start by checking the battery and alternator you put in first. Did the car have a problem before you swapped these items? Were they taken out and replaced with new or used parts? Were the new ones the correct electrical ratings? The lamp turns on to show you the system is not charging effectively so I would start by tracing your repair steps first. Good luck.
