Nope. You have the GM VATS security system. The most likely suspect is the ignition lock cylinder. There's two tiny wires in there that contact the chip on the ignition key. Over time these wires break. Once you replace the lock cylinder you'll have to get the correct VATS key blank and have it cut to match the template that came with the new lock cylinder. There were 15 different keys. You'll have to take the original key to your local GM dealer to find out which key you have (1 thru 15). HTH. -Jim
