Want go in gear

My car wnt go in gear i put it in drive nothing i put it
in reverse my reverse lights come on but still
nothing it dont even jump alittle lik it does when
you put it in gear.......

Sounds like one of your shift solenoids may be defective. Need to bring it to a good transmission shop...
