low oil pressure

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

twice now my edge would not start. It would start and then shut right off. It displayed "low oil pressure".  The oil level was good.  Oil life was at 87%.  After I tried starting it a few times it started.  It was not exceptionally cold out either time.  It also did not show any warnings after it started.  Any ideas?????

I have a 2013 Ford Edge sport, I was at a drive Thur and the oil pressure light came on and then I was unable to move my car, people pushed me out of the way and then I shut my car off and let it sit for a little bit and then it stared back up and I was able to drive it. Why would this happen ?

Just had this happen each of the last two days to my 2013 Ford Edge Sport. Taking it in tomorrow. Did you ever find out what caused your issue?

i experienced that recently.. i have a ford edge 2013. i just changed the oil and filter and this happened. Any answers for this??
