Can you add a rear window defroster & heated mirrors to 2010 chevrolet silverado LT?

Truck did not come from the factory with those options, is this a DIY job or will I need a Chevy dealer?

In order to add those features, you would need a new rear window or the glass part as the defroster is integral to the back window. Also add all the wiring and switches. The heated mirrors, you would need to purchase new mirrors and hope that the wiring and switches are part of the existing harness and just not used. I'd ask the Chevy dealer for a quote to swap the mirrors for you, but the rear defroster, I'd say forget about that.

You can add a rear window defroster with relative ease to the back glass of any truck. In the interest of full disclosure I work for a company who makes aftermarket defrosters. There are around 150 sizes but the defroster to fit your truck is 1209-4567-PIC for around $75. This includes the control and wire harness all made right here in the USA. See the company’s web page for truck rear window defrosters here http://www.frostfighter.com/pickup-truck-rear-window-defrosters.htm
