Then I would check the wiring from the switch to the fuse box of lose or corroded wires. If that looks good then check from fuse box to the headlights. Look for the ground wire for the headlights too. If its corroded/rusty or loose that could be your problem.

If you have a auto plus switch, in the evenings or just before dust, some times the sensor has a hard time turning the lights on and off, hope this helps
