blower motor fuse or relay

Asked by Osh99 Jan 12, 2017 at 08:19 PM about the 2010 Dodge Journey SE FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

2010 Dodge Journey ac/heat blower quit working losing 1 speed then another until no speeds at all. replaced blower resister, checked all fuses for continuity(all good). Jumped blower motor with 12 volt source and it worked. End result is still no power to blower motor. Fuse block has no blower fuse listed except rear ac blower which I don't have. Still moved that 30 amp fuse with another and still no joy. What's next, try another resistor?

You can, at least there's no additional cost to try another new resistor. You can also check for voltage at the harness connector to the blower resistor, to make sure the fan speed switch is working. Make sure the grounds are good as well.

I know this is an old post, but it may help someone else? The control switch is poorly made, take off the bezel around the controls and radio, remove the temperature controls from behind the bezel, and take it apart, it just snaps together. The contacts will be burned due to the dielectric grease wearing away with use. I cleaned the contacts and applied more dielectric grease and my blower works great now.
