Troubleshooting procedures for a tailgate on a hummer h2

Tailgate will not open from outside

Check the latches on both side and pull handle and look and each side to see witch opens....... If one dose not open look in and take a small-big depending on witch fits and trip the part that's stuck...... Had the same problem with my 1995 Chevy 1500
