I HAVE A 2010 CHEVY COBALT THATS HAVING TROUBLE SHIFTING
I HAVE A 2010 CHEVY COBALT WITH 175,000 MILES ON IT WHEN
DRIVING IT IS HAVING A HARD TIME SHIFTING FROM 2 TO 3RD IN
DRIVE, I HAVE TO PUT IT IN NEUTROL AND WAIT TIL IT SLOWS DOWN
THEN PUT IT IN DRIVE AND IT WILL DRIVE FOR JUST A LITTLE BIT
AND REPEAT NOT SHIFTING. I ADDED TRANSMISSION FLUID
THINKING THAT WAS THE PROBLEM BUT IT DIDNT FIX PROBLEM ANY
Everything is run and monitored by electronics. First step should always be to scan for trouble codes. After that you probably need to take it to a shop for an evaluation. Sometimes its as simple as a sensor of some sort, other times its indication of a more serious internal mechanical problem. If its mechanical its only going to get worse and probably more expensive too.
