Asked by Michael Dec 20, 2022 at 02:26 AM about the 2009 BMW X5 xDrive30i AWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

BMW X5 does not start on its own. It needs caburattor and choke cleaner
sprayed into the air intake before it statrs

1 Answer

Massive vacuum or fresh air leak. Might consider a sensor check, they could be telling the computer misinformation, like engine really warm coolant at operational temperature, air charge temperature incorrect, O2 sensors froze at a fixed setting. Then it could be a weak fuel supply, bad pump, plugged filters.
