Question type: Maintenance & Repair

While driving my 2005 Ford escape, I suddenly
heard a rattling sound and then the tracking control
light came on. It started to jerk when I tried to
accelerate. Then the ABS light came on. Anyone k
owns what this could be  and the extent of cost to
repair?

Thank you all. I did have it looked at and its is that. It's going to cost me over $500 bucks to repair. I haven't had the car six months yet smh.

I have the same issue - ABS and traction control light came on, heard a rattling noise and the car lost acceleration. I thought it was the transmission, but the tachometer didn't move when I gave it gas. Pulled over and turned the car off. Started it up again and no light. I found if I drive the car under 60 miles an hour I don't get any dashboard lights. If I drive over 60 miles an hour the ABS and traction light come on. I can believe a bad sensor or tone ring can cause the lights to come on at speed, but why would that cause loss of acceleration?? I don't think it's wheel bearings because I have no issue at under 60 miles an hour, no noises when turning Etc.
