My rear window defroster is not working on my 2009 Chevy Impala

When I set the rear window defroster on my 2009 Chevy Impala while driving the window is not clearing. What could be the problem?

It is a burnt wire along the passenger side floor panel all the Chevy Impalas have that problem if you Google it you will get the same answer
